Briggs Auction offers two methods of selling the personal property from estates. We can offer you a buyout price or sell the merchandise on a consignment basis at auction. We are accustomed to emptying homes of all contents from furniture to china to tools to linens to everything. Our competent employees perform all packing and hauling. We do it all!

With the Buyout method, you are offered a set price for your merchandise. We will then pack and remove the item(s) and pay you upfront at the time of their removal. Some people prefer this method because they do not need to wait until after the auction, the monetary gain is immediate, and they know right away what they are profiting from the sale.

Using the Consignment basis, merchandise is sold at the auction, after which the auction house takes a percentage of the gross sale amount. The seller then receives a check for the proceeds, along with a computerized listing of the items sold with the corresponding prices. Commission rates are competitive and we are always interested in fine quality merchandise.
